1. Initial Meeting
- A designer will visit your home/construction site and bring sample doors, sample drawer box, pictures and referrals.
- We will take measurements of the space, or take architectural plans of the space from which to scale. (A second field measurement is often required after space is built-out.)
- Discuss plans for space with homeowner/builder. Review styles, woods, colors, options, special requirements. We recommend that homeowner provide “ideal kitchen” pictures torn out from magazines. Amish Custom Kitchens will use these pictures to recreate that style/feel for your custom kitchen.
2. Kitchen Design and Layout
- Your designer will design your custom kitchen using a specialized computer CAD program.
- In approximately 1 to 2 weeks the designer will mail you a proposal and a detailed cabinet list including all sizes, options, and price. Also included will be a computer drawing of each wall with cabinets and trims pictured.
