Q: I love the look and craftsmanship of Amish Cabinets, but aren't they just for high-end or designer homes?
A: Amish Custom Kitchens can provide you with the dream kitchen you've always wanted for a price comparable to warehouse home centers. We actually RECOMMEND you get a second bid from ANOTHER store to help demonstrate the value Amish Custom Kitchens offer.
Q: Will I have to wait a long time for my cabinets?
A: Delivery time varies depending upon the level of pending orders from all our clients. During our slower periods - around the holidays - delivery time can be as quick as 4 weeks. However, during the busy spring/summer/fall remodeling and construction seasons, delivery times can reach up to 13 weeks. Amish Custom kitchens aims at a 6 to 8 week delivery period as optimal. We will help you plan accordingly to keep your project on schedule.
Q: Is there a warranty on Amish cabinets?
A: Yes. Like most cabinet manufacturers, the Amish formally provide a full 1-year warranty. However, if at any time - even years after delivery - you experience a problem, simply contact your Amish Custom Kitchens Designer and we will resolve the problem - usually at no cost to you.
Q: Does Amish Custom Kitchens have a showroom I can visit?
A: Yes ... we have a small office/showroom on the northwest side of Chicago at 6219 N. Northwest Highway. The showroom is available by appointment, however we prefer the first meeting to be at the customer's house to better design a kitchen that fits with your home.
Q: Do the Amish really make these cabinets by hand, without any electricity?
A: All cabinets are handcrafted and built with extraordinary attention to detail, using hand tools and pneumatic-powered (high-pressure air) tools. Some required saws cannot be converted to pneumatic power, and in those specific instances, the Amish Church allows the faithful to make their own electricity to power an electric motor.
Q: Is there a retainer fee for Amish Custom kitchens to design our kitchen?
A: No. We are so CONFIDENT in our products and service, we do not require a retainer upfront.
